Eleven-year-old Sam Claussen dreams of owning a metallic red Scorpion-Hawk mountain bike and begs his parents to buy him the bike for Christmas. However, the family is struggling because his father is out of work. Sam is forced to come up with a plan to raise money for the bike on his own.
